Drivers navigating the I-94 reconstruction project in western Wayne County are dealing with more than traffic backups.


Michigan Department of Transportation data shows approximately 300 crashes occurred between I-275 and U.S. 12 from February through August, which averages to about 1.5 crashes per day.


The data also lists 155 other calls for service during that time, including debris in the roadway, flat tires and drivers who ran out of gas.
