I absolutely love Billy Connolly! He is one of my favourite humans on this planet. A complex genius, who is not only a brilliant comedian , but a fantastic actor and musician. Over the years, I' think he'd be the first to admit he has mellowed, and I love the gentle aged philosopher of life he seems to have become and despite struggling with Parkinson's disease, he appears to relish life as much as ever.
I have read his biography about his tough upbringing in Glasgow, and I think this song really sums up that no matter where we go in life or how famous a person may become...Home is always home and our upbringing shapes us for life...
