A Day of Small Things | I watched two theatre productions of Julius Caesar // Shakespeare on stage // RSC & National Theatre @adayofsmallthings | Uploaded June 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
This is episode 3 of Nicole’s commentary on Julius Caesar by Shakespeare. We looked at the themes and characters of the play in the first two episodes. Today I’d like to introduce you to two theatre productions that I watched recently with some pictures and a short clip from the trailer - one live show by Royal Shakespeare Company, one recorded show by the Bridge Theatre on National Theatre at Home. For each production I’ll mention two things, the visual style, as well as the cast and the interpretation of the characters. The two productions are very different in style and give different flavours to the play. I loved both. What do you think?
