✨ Rhodes Pianology is an advanced piano plugin featuring three beautifully modelled instruments — Grand, Electric Grand, and Upright — with a built-in virtual MQA preamp, effects section, and deeply expressive playability.
In this video, we jump straight into Rhodes Pianology — no fluff, no reading the manual. Just loading it up, playing it, and seeing what it can do. And honestly? It blew my mind.
We start with the Grand piano completely naked — no effects, no processing — just the raw sound. From there, we explore the Timbre Shift control, which morphs between three voicings and produces constantly evolving harmonics that most piano plugins simply can't deliver.
Then we dive deep into the effects section — chorus, phaser, tremolo, delay, and the incredible Arena reverb that turns any piano into a sci-fi soundtrack. We also explore the Electric Grand (which sounds absolutely stunning), the Upright with its mechanical noise control and tack piano character, and the built-in EQ, preamp, and velocity shaping.
Along the way, we create custom presets live — including a Dave Grusin-inspired electric piano tone and a "Hyperspace Piano" that you need to hear to believe.
