Why I quit driving, in *increasing* order of importance:
1. Because it was a pain getting a medical check-up every year specifically for the purpose of being able to keep my driver's license (see #2).
2. Since I have epilepsy, there was a miniscule but still real risk that I would not be able to pull over before a seizure took hold. I usually get between 30 seconds to 1 minute's warning before it hits (it's hard to describe), but there are no guarantees in life. I didn't want to be responsible for that.
3. Because the stupidity and carelessness of another driver is how I got the injury that caused the seizures in the first place.
4. After twice having cars spin out next to me on Interstate 95, I said "screw this" and switched to public transportation.
