GALVIN HEIDI E. GALVIN (Age 45) Of Herndon, VA died on September 11, 2010 at Reston Hospital Center. She was born on October 1, 1964 in Lynn, MA. After graduating form Salem State College, she taught school for the New York City School System until joining the Peace Corp with her husband in 1990. She was currently working for SMS Data Product Group, McLean, VA as a Systems Developer. Heidi was a den mother for her sons Cub Scout Troop for seven years and was a avid oil painter. Heidi was the beloved wife of 20 years of John E. Galvin; loving and devoted mother of Fiona Galvin and Declan Galvin; daughter of Redmond "Gerry" Cassidy and Catherine G. S. Cassidy of Swampscott, MA; sister of Catherine "Debbie" Cassidy of Salem, MA, Margaret White of Reading, MA and Wendy Cassidy of Swampscott, MA. The family will receive friends on Monday, September 13 and Tuesday, September 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at ADAMS-GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 721 Elden St., Herndon, VA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 15 at 11 a.m. at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church, 46833 Harry Byrd Highway, Sterling, VA. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family suggest that memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society, 124 Park St. S.E., P.O. Box 699, Vienna, VA 22180
