Ginger is the prince of the Helios wolves, a species of wolves characterized by their light colored pelt and “wings”, little fins on their shoulders. Spearmint is a Nova Wolf bounty hunter and often works alone, rarely bringing his little brother, Cinnamon with him. Helios wolves pride themselves on catching rare creatures such as the phantom fox, a now extinct species of fox capable of shifting their density to go through objects. Spearmint, in order to catch his next target, a hybrid named Galaxy (they actually become mates later on), requires the pelt of a phantom fox in order to catch her. With the pelt, Spearmint can shift his density to move quickly. Ginger offers them for a trade and only asks that Spearmint screams for him. Ginger laughs and explains afterwards that he only wanted a laugh and gave Spearmint the phantom fox pelt.
