Back in March, I had the absolute pleasure of checking off a long-held bucket list item: visiting Patagonia. My park of choice was Los Glaciares National Park, in Argentina. Much fun was had: the Perito Moreno Glacier Trek, hiking Laguna de Los Tres, hiking Cerro Torre. Needless to say, Patagonia absolutely lived up to the hype, and I had a wonderful time with my family. But, me being me, I also did a lot of thinking. About National Parks in Argentina, how they work, and how they compare and contrast with those in the US. I always find this to be a useful exercise because it expands my own view of how to do conservation, and how other places approach protecting their most special places. In this episode, I'm going to share some of my thoughts, reflections, and observations from Los Glaciares National Park with you. Enjoy!
