After years of avoiding Unreal Engine and opting to use other frameworks such as Bevy, Monogame, Unity or LibGDX, I decided to finally give the engine a try to see why modern game developers like using it so much. In this video, I will be trying to develop a game with Unreal Engine 5 as a game developer who’s never touched the engine before. I'll be giving my thoughts on the engine as a game developer but NOT as someone who is an expert with Unreal Engine so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I decided also to approach Unreal Engine by using Blueprints as little as possible because a code-based approach is just what I've always been used to especially after moving away from Unity(my first game engine). So, I'll mostly be using C++ in this video and won't be showing much Blueprint code.
