The Polyend Tracker+ is my first ever experience using a tracker to make music, and in this video I document the journey from complete beginner to exploring some of its more advanced possibilities.
If you've never come across a tracker before, a tracker is a style of music production software that originated on early computers, where music is programmed vertically using patterns, numbers and step based sequencing rather than recorded into a traditional timeline or piano roll. It can look intimidating at first, but trackers offer an incredibly fast and precise way to make music once they click.
In today’s video I go over the basics of the Polyend Tracker+, learning the workflow, sequencing, sampling and navigation, before diving into some more complex uses to see what this compact hardware tracker is really capable of.
