This video documents my experience trying ketamine meditation therapy. As someone who’s had ups and downs with anxiety and depression throughout the years, I was curious to learn more about ketamine therapy and other psychedelic-assisted therapies. Up until now, I had never tried a substance-induced therapy and used natural methods to improve my mental health.

Throughout the past several years, I have started to learn about psychedelic-assisted therapy and its potential as a groundbreaking treatment for mental health conditions. When ketamine therapy came into my awareness, I was curious. After learning more, it became clear that ketamine therapy is something that might help me on my journey with depression and anxiety.

It's important to note that I met with a clinician before this session and was prescribed this ketamine legally. Ketamine therapy is not for everyone and should only be used with medical supervision.

Ketamine has been FDA approved since 1970 as an anesthetic for humans and animals. In 1999 it became a schedule III non-narcotic substance, meaning that it has a “a low to moderate potential for dependence and abuse, and a currently accepted medical use.”

In 2019, the FDA approved the use of ketamine as a medication for depression via a nasal spray called Esketmaine.

Recently, more and more scientific research has been emerging about ketamine therapy and other psychedelic-assisted therapies, including studies from major medical Universities including Johns Hopkins, Yale, and Harvard.

I want to reiterate that this was only my personal experience trying ketamine therapy, and it will look and feel different for everyone, and even though my experience looked a bit strange, I felt such a deep catharsis and it was truly a beautiful, healing experience.
