A viewer sent me a pile of scrap PCs, a discarded 55" industrial display and an old keyboard… so I tried turning it all into a working light gun arcade.
Built using Batocera and a Sinden light gun, it quickly turned into a BIOS, audio and display nightmare. Hidden settings, VMD confusion, sound issues, Windows quirks… it was not quite the plug and play dream.
This is what happened when I tried building a 55" arcade from scrap PCs.
Along the way I cleaned out years of dust using the WolfBox MegaFlow200 Air Duster. It’s portable, wireless and far more powerful than canned air. I showed the removable battery pack, fast charging and the different nozzle and brush attachments while stripping down and rebuilding the machines.
