There is something undeniably romantic about the idea of adventuring to a new place, locking yourself away in a cozy cabin, and feeling the mystical or - at this point maybe mythical - mix of inspiration, motivation and focus.
But is there any truth to that fantasy?
Can a new place, a temporary blank slate, help you outrun your own habits? Can its novelty be enough to shake you out of your default state? Help your brain come up with new ideas, your typical four walls just don’t hold? And, if that were the case, how could you regularly use that trick in your everyday life, save going back a few decades and making the informed choice to be born to someone rich? Or at least with a holiday cabin.
