I took two Chinese mini skid steers into the rugged West Texas desert near the Mexico border to help build beaver dam analogs. What started as a simple project turned into one of the toughest adventures these machines have ever faced. Steep ravines, loose rock, deep sand, thrown tracks, flat tires, and plenty of unexpected challenges—this trip had it all.
