Three mini skid steers, three land-clearing attachments, and one seriously overgrown field.

I put the Derette XC1100, Rippa RS06-1, and Rippa RS06-2/3A to work clearing 5–6 foot grass, brush, and small trees.

I tested a Derette brush cutter, Digger Source drum mulcher, and Rut Manufacturing disc mulcher—and I even switched attachments between machines to see how much the machine itself affected performance.

Things didn’t go exactly as planned. One machine struggled badly with the mulcher, and rocks, trash, and plenty of overgrowth made this a real-world test.
