I found these cheap HDMI dummy plugs on Amazon and had to see what they actually do.

They trick your PC into thinking a monitor is connected, allowing you to run a headless PC and remotely access it without having a physical monitor attached.

I tested one on my home server/backup PC and even restarted the computer to see if Remote Desktop would still work.

And surprisingly… it worked!
