In this video I compare my old Volkswagen T6 campervan with my new Weinsberg Carabus Fiat Ducato based campervan to see whether upgrading to a bigger van was actually the right decision.
For years my VW T6 took me on countless mountain adventures — small roads, wild camping spots and quick overnight trips before heading into the hills. But recently I decided to move to a bigger campervan built on the Fiat Ducato platform.
More space.
More comfort.
More gear storage.
But bigger isn’t always better…
In this video I look at the real differences between a small campervan and a larger campervan for the kind of trips I do — mountain days, wild camping, and long drives into remote areas.
I compare:
Driving on narrow mountain roads
Parking and access to remote locations
Living space and comfort
Gear storage for mountain adventures
What surprised me most after switching
The big question is:
Have I made a mistake moving from the VW T6 to a much bigger campervan?
