One of Scotland's most remote spots and certainly one of the hardest to reach places in the UK. Garbh Choire Mor Corrie is a massive boulder strewn basin hemmed in on three sides by steep towering cliffs. Many take two days to get their but me and Lewis start early for a 30km hike to see if The Sphinx has survived the summer and still holds on to life in the rough corrie. We also make the tough decision to return over the third highest mountain in Scotland - as an easier option!!! some great father son time and an amazing place to share with my son. PS we observed and remained out of the exclusion zone. Please be aware of this exclusion zone if you are headed for The Cairngorms in the coming months after the fires : cairngorms.co.uk/visiting/need-to-know/path-closures
