(Screeching tires pierce the void of silence as Travis barrels his chocolate brown Honda named Wanda into the sunset with nothing but his wide brimmed hat, the Fendi sunglasses his grandmother gave him, and the $20 bill he intended to exchange for quarters to do laundry earlier that day.
But at that moment, laundry was the last thing on his mind. The only thing that stood between the life Travis would come into and the life he was leaving behind was a quarter tank of gas and the memories of yesterday. Knowing full and well that relishing the past was no longer an option if he was going to survive, Travis quickly dismissed the thought with a drag of his extra long menthol parliament before tossing the cigarette out the window, adding to the trail of heartbreak and regret that littered the 405.)
