1/22/2024 Monterey Bay
I went surf fishing in the rain. I checked Surf Forecast (surf-forecast.com/) last night and it showed the waves weren't too strong. Tried out the drop shot rig and heavier Okuma Rockaway rod.
I didn't catching anything but got a closer look at the huge whale bone. Saw someone catch what looked like a huge 15" perch.
The sand was hard packed from the rain. It took some effort to try to dig up some sand crabs. A few people were riding E-Bikes on the sand without any issues.
I suck at fishing but learning. I'll get back out there again soon and try to arrive early next time.
