Sometimes eye drop medications can cause a conjunctivitis called medicamentosa. This is inflammation caused by an ingredient or preservative in the eye drops. There are reports of people stopping their dry eye medications resulting in improved symptoms. Is it possible to stop a dry eye routine of artificial tears, warm compresses, eyelid massages, and eyelid hygeine, and actually improve dry eyes?
