I've made 3 other "Oxtail Substitutes" recipes, but nothing I've tried comes closer to the real thing:-nor is there anything cheaper-Thank Turkey Necks! I snagged 5 POUNDS of these at my local butcher shop for $18!! Not only are these very inexpensive, they're Delicious when cooked like Oxtails. And visually they’re almost indistinguishable. so you get the whole "Oxtail experience". Turkey isn't beef, mind you, so this is no REPLACEMENT for Oxtails.There IS no replacement for Oxtails. But my wife, and I LOVED these and will absolutely do them again.
