Original Song: I Remember What I AM
Singer-Songwriter: Shavon
I Remember What I Am
I walked with a name I was given at birth
Carried it close like it measured my worth
Spoke in a voice that was shaped by the room
Echoed the world like a hollowed-out tune
There in the quiet beneath all the sound
Something was waiting, but not to be found
Not in the seeking, not reaching above
But in the breaking of what I once was
There is a pull I can’t deny
It moves through me, it doesn’t lie
No longer asking what is true
It’s rising up from somewhere new
I remember what I am
Not the body, not the plan
Not the story, not the name
Not the pieces I became
I remember what I am
I was never held by them
Now the veil is wearing thin
And I feel it moving in
I felt it stirring under my skin
Not from outside, but deep within
A widening space I could not contain
Not bound by loss, not shaped by pain
Every moment began to unfold
Not something new, but something old
A living current, silent and wide
Watching through me from the inside
There is no edge, there is no end
No place I stop, no place I bend
What I was taught begins to fall
It was never that small
I remember what I am
Not the body, not the plan
Not the story, not the name
Not the pieces I became
I remember what I am
I was never held by them
Now the veil is wearing thin
And I feel it moving in
At the first turning, I laid it down
All that I built to keep me bound
What I was holding slipped away
And still I stood, and still I stayed
At the second turning, time grew still
No past to chase, no future to fill
Only the breath, the space between
Where I end and all has been
At the final turning, nothing to hide
No shape to carry, no place to divide
What I was seeking was never apart
It was the rhythm inside of my heart
I remember what I am
Not the body, not the plan
Not the story, not the name
Not the pieces I became
I remember what I am
I was never held by them
Now the veil is wearing thin
And I feel it moving in

Lyrics by Bonnie Legion | Produced by Afrodeo
Hope filled with song of fate,
Spreading out the ashes—follow
Further in your hate.
Hope filled my song of pain,
I’m spreading out the ashes,
Falling further from our hate.
Somewhere climbing up high, there’s a gateway
Far beyond the furthest eye.
Somewhere on high—oh star, you blind me.
Is it my fate now that I
Can’t reach out with the light to find me?
Hope spilled a song of pain,
A curious mind in a curious world,
In the middle of the ocean.
Hope, oh dress my wounds again—
A creative mind,
An imagination building a starship.
In my time—oh, I’ll fly away
With this awesome power.
A soul divided,
A heart with a starship.
Reaching out—oh, I’ll fly away
In a starship.
And they’ll say:
“Hey, yeah, I’ll remember that day
When she flew away
In a starship.”
Hope—oh hold no pain,
These words of hate,
Your judgment finds no place for belonging.
Counting cards of shame,
Dealing out rejection, labels,
Placing all the blame.
Hope, instill my soul again.
Can I ban with my brother?
Can we love one another
To build this starship?
We’ll fly away… in a starship.
🌌 Description for “Starship”
“Starship” is an imaginative, emotional synth-pop journey about transcending pain, building unity, and crafting a better world through the power of creative vision. Over a cinematic electronic house beat by Afrodeo, Bonnie Legion’s voice floats between sadness and wonder—naming the wounds of the past while dreaming up what could be beyond them.
This isn’t escapism—it’s sacred sci-fi soulwork.
It’s a message to all the outcasts, the seekers, the dreamers:
You’re not broken. You’re building.
A starship isn’t just a vessel—it’s a belief, powered by hope, imagination, and the desire to rise together.

Both wav-Dr. and I have encountered rejection in our musical endeavors. We have faced criticism for our vocals, lyrics, and playing, but we have always accepted it as a natural part of the creative process. However, what truly dampens the spirit in the music industry is not the rejection that stems from falling short of expectations or not meeting someone elses standards. No, what truly stings is encountering jealousy – not the typical envy where someone covets what you possess and attempts to undermine you, although that is certainly unpleasant. I am referring to the kind of jealousy that arises when individuals believe you should not be allowed to pursue your artistic path. In my extensive experience with music and the industry, I have witnessed nothing more disheartening than witnessing people trample on someones dreams, hard work, and efforts simply because they deem it inappropriate.

Lyrics
I wanted to sit down and write you a letter,
I wanted to sit down and talk to you face-to-face,
oh oh been forever,
I wanted to tell you, so many things,
I could never bring myself to admit my wrongs
and the time it stings,
I wanted to swim out spend time at sea,
theres always a shark out there where the land is rare
and a heart that bleeds,
I wanted to bring you something rare
find you a treasure so damn good,
cant crack like stone or burn like wood,
chorus
all the way at your feet it lay,
bring it all the way,
at your feet, it lay
I flew over canyons,
I fell under waves,
I floated with dirty seeds,
couldnt plant their deeds and I swam away,
I ate the mountain but didnt drink the tea,
someone said theres a vine that grows
make a dead man rose, and a blind man see,
I fell into darkness so I could relate,
didnt twist my arm, wasnt devils charm
was a million bruises for love, not hate,
I wanted to show you something rare,
a glowing light that was so damn bright,
couldnt hold no darkness or breed no lie,
chorus
all the way at your feet it lay,
bring it all the way,
at your feet, it lay
bridge
all the way I will carry,
I will carry,
I will bury all the pain I hold

Lyrics to Wheel Inside by Shavon
[Verse 1]
Harness your spirit, don’t hold it tight Step through the dark without needing light Close your eyes, feel what’s underneath There’s something alive in the space you keep Pull in the air like it’s something new Let all the noise fall out of you There’s a current beneath your skin If you go quiet, it pulls you in [Pre-Chorus]
Everything turning, the wheel inside Threads of your story start to unwind Something is calling you past the frame You won’t come back quite the same
[Chorus]
Walk with me where the edge dissolves Where nothing you were can stay involved Step by step, let the old you fall You were never meant to carry it all
[Verse 2]
Barefoot moving on sacred ground Drop what you thought made you safe and sound Names and faces, the roles you play Fade like echoes you can’t replay There’s a rise ahead you have to climb Not in distance, but out of time Something waits where the air gets thin But you don’t arrive as who you’ve been
[Pre-Chorus]
Feel it pulling beneath your chest Breaking apart what you thought was best Every layer begins to release Not destruction—this is peace
[Chorus]
Walk with me where the edge dissolves Where nothing you were can stay involved Step by step, let the old you fall You were never meant to carry it all
