Creator In Me

There are sides to me,
Too many sides to me,
Creating colours that blend together,
Expose the light in me.
But there is darkness in me,
Creating shapes in me,
Creating sounds, creating voices,
Creating life in me.
Creation lies in me,
When I decide to see,
All the motion, it moves together,
Creates the sight of me.
There is war on the mind,
Faith LET behind,
All exposed in changing choices,
There is nothing to find.
There’s a creator in me,
I created the sea,
All the waters, they blend together,
Create the waves in me.
I imagined the land,
And the earth where I stand,
All the creatures and all the weather,
Through all the thoughts I AM.
I’m a seed that will feed
On all the dirt that you leave,
We created this together,
And now we grow the tree.
As the fruit, it falls,
Different seeds evolve,
Create a dance within the darkness,
Within the mud of it all.
I AM a cycle, a seed,
I created the Tree,
I blend the dark and light together
In what is — just to be.
So I will breathe in the air,
In control as I stare,
Inside of time that don’t exist,
And I will laugh — I’m aware.

Not the pieces I became

I was never held by them
Now the veil is wearing thin
And I feel it moving in
I felt it stirring under my skin
Not from outside, but deep within
A widening space I could not contain
Not bound by loss, not shaped by pain
Every moment began to unfold
Not something new, but something old
A living current, silent and wide
Watching through me from the inside
There is no edge, there is no end
No place I stop, no place I bend
What I was taught begins to fall
It was never that small
I remember what I am
Not the body, not the plan
Not the story, not the name
Not the pieces I became

At the first turning, I laid it down
All that I built to keep me bound
What I was holding slipped away
And still I stood, and still I stayed
At the second turning, time grew still
No past to chase, no future to fill
Only the breath, the space between
Where I end and all has been
At the final turning, nothing to hide
No shape to carry, no place to divide
What I was seeking was never apart
It was the rhythm inside of my heart
