I was rushing and not taking it seriously. I sang all of the sentences to the same tune - a section of Umi he To by Puffy AmiYumi! that overtraining of the melody doesn't seem to have hurt too much :3

Guys, when did it get so hard to find USTs?! From a result perspective, this is no different from any textgrid I make by hand because every single boundary has been edited. When using the import UST tool, you are given a pitch object gathered from the UST itself. While it sounds pretty good, that isnt voice copying… and I am the voice copying queen 😝
I mixed poorly and used no effects on the voice so that the actual results could be easily heard.
Utan has no multipitch yet, so this is just Phonons A3 pitch. Utan is amazing at pitching things up and still sounding wonderful! Phonon is so wonderful!
I Didnt include harmonies because it slipped my mind until after the video was recorded!

I feel like this is the kind of song that doesnt work well with vocal synths, so Im shocked how well it turned 😊 !
I had fun mixing! I saw the main vocals had flanger applied, at least I think thats what it was, so I added it here :) ! There is bleed through from the original vocal in the instrumental I used, so sometimes you will hear a bit of Rod Stewarts voice. However, I did recreate the background vocals! I made a ust in praat, then used that ust to make an utau sing it to get the pitch data. I probably went overboard with hard panning the background vocals, but the fact that they didnt bleed into the mid in the original probably means I was on the right track :) !")
