👉Almost a year ago, I said I was done with AYANEO. Then, earlier this month, they announced, sold and released an $89 Gameboy Advance in the span of about 30 days - all while avoiding almost all of the problems I had with them earlier. Then they reached out to us and asked us to review it.
So today we're reviewing both the KONKR Pocket Advance, and AYANEO. The KPA is $89 during preorder, it's shaped exactly like the thing your mom bought you at Toys R Us 25 years ago, and it is the first AYANEO product in a long time that you could just buy off a storefront like a normal person. That part matters the most.
In this video, we get into why $89 is a great price point, what's still not fixed, whether a sub-brand counts as a fresh start, and where this chip actually earns its keep, which is not where the marketing says it is.
