ZimaOS makes this little N150 NAS remarkably straightforward to set up and use. But the exposed PCIe slot is where it becomes properly interesting.

I started with a low-powered Intel Arc card, then tried a slot-powered RTX 3050. Both fired up, and the system could reference and use the GPU, even though ZimaOS still doesn’t make the installed hardware especially visible in its interface.

That opens up some interesting possibilities: Docker, media services, a private cloud, local AI, or even a compact Linux machine with discrete graphics. It is still an experiment, but this tiny NAS may be far more flexible than it first appears.
