I owe some of you an apology.
When I started this page, I followed the same advice everyone else followed.
"Get a niche, only post about your niche, niche , niche"
That’s created a rigidity that I can’t maintain.
If you need rigidity right now please feel free to unfollow me.
Because it’s never going to be just rollerskating here again. There will be rollerskating, it’s still a huge part of my life, but it won’t ever be just that.
I can say that pretty confidently.
The underlying theme of my life and page has always been education, whether it was teaching people to skate, how to grieve, how to defend themselves, how to treat themselves, how to solo travel, how to carve out joy, how to live fully, how to engage locally etc.
That’s not going to change.
So Just a heads up. This is a multifaceted space.
To my fellow tragic optimists:
Take rest, lick your wounds.
But when you start to get back up,
please know that local level engagement is now more important than ever.
I’ll be sharing resources as I find them because I want to build a community of doers.
That is my priority for the foreseeable.
