I've been in a bit of an editing slump lately. It could be the time of year or something but I just felt like everything I've edited lately just has been lackluster. But then I decided to stick with what I enjoy editing the most, just emotional videos that don't have lots of cool effects and that's OKAY.
Anyway, enjoy the jazz boyfriends~ I love them so much and this anime is one of my favs.

Day 6! I had even less time today for some reason, but tomorrow I have a few less things to do so Ill hopefully get more edited.
Ive wanted to make a video with my Shepard and Thane for a while now, ever since I played the LE. I hadnt played ME until then and fell in-love with Thane, so obviously ME3 WRECKED me. I cried so hard while listening to the messages he leaves Shepard after the memorial in the DLC. I do want to actually finish this video at some point, but this is what I was able to crank out tonight. Its not finished and theres stuff I want to change/add, but its not a bad start.

Im a few days late, but I finished my FFXV anniversary video! Its hard to believe that FFXV is two years old now. This game and the characters are so near and dear to my heart, the chocobros especially so. The game isnt perfect and I know in light of the cancellation of 3/4 of the new DLCs that were going to be made that people are angry and upset, but I still stand with this game. Im so thankful for the entire FFXV team for creating this game and giving us what they did. Ill continue to walk tall.

I wanted to try something a little different with my editing this time around. Not crazy about it, but I think it looks cool. Im trying to get over this hangup that I started having over not being able to do all the cool effects sv and ae editors can do. Its been a little challenging but Im starting to embrace my editing style again so I feel like thats a win.

They called them a witch, and for good reason.

This is my first video for Roll for Initiative and Im so pleased with how it turned out. Its not perfect, but I like the story aspect of it. I also got to practice more masking which is nice. I thought about adding text throughout the whole video, but I wanted the video to speak for itself.
The gist of the story is that Yuel is a witch who grants peoples wishes for next to nothing and because of this, people make wild wishes out of jealousy or a desire for beauty. This gives the wishers a feeling of power that is ultimately empty as Yuel grants their wishes at the cost of their happiness or life, depending on her mood.

This was quite the challenge! As a level 2 Cleric, my next prompt was Thinking back on the events of that time, she could only shake her head and needed to use the music genre classical.
I figured voiceovers would be the most helpful to tell the story I wanted to tell and then I found an excuse to edit AerTi and well... this happened. The masks might be a little rough but I really love the manips and how the masks turned out in the end. I hope you all enjoy this too.
Story:
Tifa and Aerith fell in love while Aerith was still alive. After her death, Tifa keeps seeing Aerith in her dreams, whether just a figment of her imagination or Aerith communicating with her from the Lifestream. Despite how much they love each other, Aerith warns Tifa that she cant fall in love with her again because shes not alive anymore and wants Tifa to move on, reassuring her theyll meet again in the Lifestream.
Tifa comes to accept Aeriths death and thanks her for all the love Aerith has shown her even after her death. Aerith thanks Tifa for loving her the same and lets Tifa know that everything will be alright.

This is my entry for round 3 of CYE. The theme for this round was a drop of ink and we had to pick one of the quotes provided and in some way, represent the quote in our video.
My quote:

I wanted to go for a literal, and yet abstract, approach to this quote. I wanted Josh and Jodie to literally be the same person but for there to be a reason that wasnt supernatural. Which is why you get a long story to explain this video.
Story:
Josh hasnt been doing well for a long time, but when he was taking his medication it was at least manageable. After he stopped taking his meds he started noticing things that didnt seem quite right, little things like wearing nail polish or he starts seeing a random girl every once in a while. He starts getting scared to look at himself, afraid of what hell see, and covers up the mirror.
Flash to Jodie, whos visiting her family after a long absence. Everything seems to be fine until she feels odd, like shes not exactly herself. After experiencing a nosebleed, she passes out (or Josh does at least).
Jodie wakes up in the hospital, unsure whats going on and why everything is going wrong, why everything is changing. In her room, she finds a folder and assuming its hers, she opens it to read the contents. But it isnt hers, its Joshs. She looks around her room again, unable to grasp what is going on around her when she finds a family photograph of the Washington family. But theres someone there shes doesnt remember: Josh. Why does it say Hannah and Beth are his sisters? Theyre hers, shes been going to visiting their graves for months.
Its then that the reality of the situation truly sinks in. Why shes been finding odd things in her room. Why Josh has found his room looking more and more like Hannahs used to.
Jodie doesnt really exist, shes Josh. Unable to accept the revelation, Josh breaks the mirror, unsure how to make everything go back to how it was.
