In my first Star Citizen VR video, I showed just how terrible the performance was. Low FPS, stutters, and a generally rough experience.
Since then, I’ve been experimenting — and in this video, I’ll show you how to squeeze more FPS out of Star Citizen in VR. This isn’t magic, and it won’t turn the game into a perfectly smooth VR experience, but these tweaks do make a noticeable difference.
In this performance guide, I’ll cover:
The settings that actually matter in VR
What to lower, what to leave alone, and what to avoid
Real-world tweaks that improved FPS and reduced stuttering
If you’re curious about Star Citizen in VR and want to make it as playable as possible right now, this video is for you.
Let me know in the comments what settings worked best for you, and if you want more VR performance guides in the future.
