This true vintage winter coat from the 1950s hasn't fit me or my style for years, so without cutting into it, I re-fit and restyled it to a gothic, late Victorian to early Edwardian historybounding piece! It's incredibly warm, too, thanks to a new Thinsulate lining. Making-over garments is a time-honored part of historical fashion, so with a little sewing, I was able to give this coat new life as a well-loved piece of winter-wear, while also saving my budget and the environment from the cost of a new winter coat.
