Many of you know this part of my story:
I was a dancer touring for LaFace Records in the early 90s - a label owned by L.A. Reid and Babyface. It was the time of my life… and it was also my education in how power works behind closed doors. You see things. You hear things. And you learn early that success and exploitation are often sitting at the same table.
So when Sean Combs: The Reckoning dropped on Netflix, I pressed play immediately, not out of curiosity, but out of recognition. Because Puffy… Puff… Diddy… P. Diddy… represented that American dream story people wanted to believe. A kid from nothing who rose to the top.
But those inside the industry also watched how power twisted him…and how he twisted power.
