Testing the DiggerSource drum mulcher on my Derette XC1100 mini skid steer while clearing trees, brush, and overgrowth at Digga Ranch. This was one of the first real tests for the mulcher on my new property, and things were going great until I hit hidden barbed wire buried in the brush and ended up destroying a tripod in the process.

In this video I put the Derette XC1100 and DiggerSource mulcher to work on cedar trees, thick brush, and rough Oklahoma terrain to see how this setup performs in real land clearing conditions. There are a lot of hidden hazards on old ranch property, and this one definitely caught me by surprise.
This is all part of the long-term Digga Ranch project where I’m transforming raw land into usable off-grid property while testing equipment, building trails, clearing roads, and improving the ranch one project at a time.
