This lockdown is very serious and very real. I try to look at the bright side of needing to stay at home for an extended period of time.
THE PLAN:
This is part of a project I'm doing called "7-Day Songs"! I'm challenging myself to write, record, and edit a new original song/video each week, every Tuesday. Planning to do this until the shelter-in-place/lockdown ends, might extend this past that!
I'm mainly a piano player & songwriter, not so much a bass player/recorder/mixer at all, so please bear with me as I try to improve these upcoming weeks!

I know it's been a minute since we've hung out

Unfortunately that will have to wait some time
This isolation's gonna be quite rough
But we are tough
And if I'm honest, well there's a small small part of me
That feels relieved
A guaranteed get out of jail free card
From those awful plans that weren't that fun, don't blame me
The reason I can't hang out is the CDC
It's the perfect excuse
And it's the right thing to do
We're staying healthy by avoiding giant crowds
At least for the time being
I'll never feel pressured

Yes, of course, I hate this situation
And they say that no one should be going out
Which works for me because I hate going out

They'd give me so much shit for never partying

I feel guilt
And so I go out and regret it
Like, near immediately wish that I'd just stayed home
It's so expensive just to make a toast
Keep my money close
I'm socially distant
But fiscally near
Wait why are you
Going outside, and not for work
So you're insensitive, a jerk
Ignoring facts
At Disneyland, or the beach
The dumbass of the year award's just out of reach
It's the perfect excuse
You have a chance to stay home
And yet you choose to be in giant crowds
At least for the time being
I'll never feel pressured

Which works for me because I hate going out
