I had an autism meltdown at work. This is a storytime about a meltdown that I had at work to share my own experiences about meltdowns and to show what an autism meltdown is like for me.
An autism meltdown is where an autistic person becomes overwhelmed and they don't know how to express it in a way that is conventional. During this meltdown at work in 2017, there was not a singular trigger which caused the meltdown. There were alot of different factors which led to the meltdown in the office.
I hope that by talking about my meltdown it helps others understand why an autistic person may have an autism meltdown. But also to show people that just because people have meltdowns, it doesn't make them weak etc.
