This old screened porch is FINALLY finished. When I started this project, I genuinely wasn’t sure this porch could be saved, and now it’s become one of my favorite spaces in the house.
In the first two videos, I repaired and preserved as much of the original porch as I could, rebuilt what needed to be rebuilt, enclosed the lower half with beadboard for more privacy, painted everything Benjamin Moore Navajo White, and installed a new porch screening system.
Now we’re getting to the payoff.
For the final phase of this screened porch makeover, I’m DIYing a checkerboard floor using budget-friendly peel-and-stick vinyl tile, including a contrasting border that completely changed the finished look. Then I’m bringing everything back in, styling the space, and finally getting to see this old porch come back to life.
