Standing on the Halo ring in full 6DOF Virtual Reality after playing the PC version back in October 2003 was a total dream come true!
Using UEVR and an incredible custom 6DOF motion control profile by NitsuJack on the Flat2VR Discord, I played through the entire Halo Campaign Evolved from start to finish in VR.
As an engineer and a massive graphics freak, stepping into Master Chief’s armor and looking up at the colossal ring world curving over my head was an absolute mind-blower. In this video, I break down the next-gen visuals, performance (and why my RTX 4090 had to drop to Medium settings!), 6DOF control handling, and whether this expensive campaign mod experience is worth the price for PCVR gamers!
