Ana Mo Shoshin | I FAILED my #readwhatyouownchallange.... plus a small book haul... @AnaMoShoshin | Uploaded April 2023 | Updated October 2024, 1 hour ago.
Hi, I’m Mo.
Ah Jeez, It's time to check in on my #readwhatyouownchallenge and it's not going good. I totally failed this project!! But I did learn some things so it wasn't a loss for my by any means!
Have you been participating in this challenge? Did you complete it, are you still working on it? Are you winning? Or failing like I did?
Coincidentally @CriminOllyBlog just put out a video on his wrap up for this project as well, so make sure to check that out! youtu.be/L_fBBHjZBVM
And check out my other two videos about this challenge as well!

Here are some things that I did learn and take away from this challenge that might help you on your journey to pair down your TBR:
1) Reading books that I own a physical copy of on audio helps me read down my tbr. I will continue to read on of my physical books on audio before letting myself read a new (to me) audiobook.
2) I can leave books behind when I see them at a little free library, used book shop, book sale or thrift shop! Just bc I've heard of it, or am vaguely interested in a book doesn't mean I need to take it home with me! I can always get that book again, if it becomes more of a priority.
3) There's no need for me to shop online used bookshops. I pick up plenty of books elsewhere, like to support local shops or community sales more than online avenues, and I can get plenty of books for videos or projects by other means.
Criminolly started this challenge so make sure to check out his channel to lean more. @HappyforNow is also doing a challenge similar to this, maybe hers is more up your street. Many other booktubers are doing TBR busting challenges, I'm sure!! This year, more than any other seems to be a year where everyone want to read down their TBR. If you know of other creators who have set similar challenges, please let us know in the comments!
