I didn't know Hong Kong University was built like this.
The University of Hong Kong isn't a typical flat university campus. Built into the steep slopes of Hong Kong Island, its buildings, paths, escalators, courtyards and streets connect across multiple levels of the hillside.
This immersive 4K walk begins underground at HKU MTR Station and gradually makes its way through the university — from the modern campus and lecture halls to University Street, the Main Library, historic Eliot Hall and May Hall, before eventually reaching HKU's iconic Main Building.
Along the way, you'll see how the campus changes as you move from underground, to street level, up through the hillside, and finally back down again.
HKU was founded in 1911 and officially opened in 1912, and more than a century later, the university still follows the shape of the original terrain.
