A 7-5, 4-6, 6-4 semifinal win over defending champion Iga Swiatek on Saturday that lasted nearly 3 hours and snapped the Pole’s 10-match winning streak in the process. Pegula trailed 3-1 in the final set before coming back to book a spot in Sunday’s championship.
In her second appearance in the Cincinnati final, Pegula will face compatriot Coco Gauff.
