🔥 My home network was getting WAY too hot!
During a recent California heat wave, my garage became extremely hot, and I started experiencing internet issues. My router and switches were heating up, especially the SFP+ switch at the bottom of my rack.
Instead of spending money on an expensive cooling setup, I used what I already had: six old 140mm PC fans, some zip ties, and a cheap fan controller. 😂 I mounted the fans around my network rack to push more air through the equipment and keep everything cooler.
The setup is definitely not the prettiest… but it works! 😎
