I bought a $10 64GB Kodak microSD card from Temu and decided to put it through a real-world test to see if it was actually legit.
The card claims to be V30, but when I put it into my GoPro HERO 12, I immediately got a warning saying the SD card may be too slow for some settings.
So… is this Kodak microSD card fake?
I tested the card several different ways:
💾 Read/write speed test
📁 Filled the card with files to test its actual capacity
🎥 Checked the recorded files for corruption
📹 Tested it in a GoPro HERO 12 at high-quality settings
⚡ Compared its performance with another V30 microSD card
The results were surprisingly interesting. The Kodak card actually performed
