The British Aerospace 146 and Avro RJ are a family of regional airliners designed and built in the United Kingdom.
These unique 4-engined airliners were designed with to serve regional markets with low operating costs, fast turnaround times, steep approaches, and short runways, all with a minimal noise footprint.
Today, the only scheduled operators of the type are somewhat hard to reach, in places like Kyrgyzstan, Iran, Bolivia, and Chile. There are still several of the type still flying around Canada, but they operate charters only.
So, like a normal person, I took on the task of getting 59 aviation geeks to fly on board an Avro RJ!

The Boeing 777-300ER is powered by two General Electric GE90-115Bs, the most powerful jet engine in the world, and quite possibly the most distinctive-sounding!
A few weeks ago I rode on this Air Canada 77W out of Toronto and managed to experience this incredible takeoff sound. Trip report on this coming soon!

![PANAMA CITY PLANE SPOTTING! Tocumen International Airport (PTY) [4K]
Tocumen International Airport (PTY) is the largest airport in Panama and serves the countrys capital of Panama City.
PTY is also the home of Copa Airlines, which has a very large presence here (as youll see in the video), with their 100+ Boeing 737s. Theres also some classic action to be had too, with local cargo carrier Uniworld Air Cargo and their Boeing 727!
In January, I happened to be there the same weekend that Tocumen Airport was holding their annual Tocumen Open Day, an event held for plane spotters in Panama. With the exception of the 727, the rest of the video is filmed airside next to runway 03R/21L.
A big thank you to the local spotters for helping us to tag along on their Open Day! It was a fantastic experience!

![Why Do Boeing 747SPs Still Fly in Canada?
The Boeing 747SP is certainly one of the most unique looking airliners ever built. This shortened version of the Boeing 747-100, named the 747SP for “Special Performance”, was developed in the 1970s as a longer-range 747 variant.
Only 45 of these planes were ever built, making them one of the rarest airliners in the world. But, did you know that two of them are still flying in Canada?
With many thanks to my good friend @MarkBrandonAviation for his help with several of the clips!
