Okay, I guess as much as anything I figured I should prove that I *have* been working on projects. I’ve just been battling truly one of the worst cases of vidder’s block I have *ever* had. And it happened to coincide with a particularly nasty bout of bad anxiety and depression.

I very much need to thank Julia, Dora and Alaina for being such wonderful support. I genuinely don’t know how I’d have coped without you all being the brilliant gems you’ve been and are. So thank you.

I’ll be honest, this is only a small selection of what I’ve been working on - I was determined to keep it under 5 minutes. A lot of it has been about five seconds worth of video, or, usually, about two clips, before I’ve given up - Scoro and Aetari have been particular victims of this. So, I tried to narrow it down to projects that are actually worth looking at, I hope, or that I want to finish - I find that if I put it into the world that I’m working on something, I feel more obliged to finish it.

I would apologise for the copious amounts of my witchy assassins in here, but since they were the ones to get me out of the worst of my funk, I shan’t.

1.Circles
I’ve labelled it as Noble and Aetari (mostly because what I have - half of which I’ve chopped here because the masking wasn’t cooperating - is a parallel between my poor darlings), but I’m actually aiming for more of a comprehensive look at the story as a whole. We’ll see.

2. Staying
Again, labelled Kestrel (my boy! I’ve missed him), but will hopefully be a wider look at the characters and especially the history of the ‘Trees’ world. I could’ve sworn I had more finished, but, alas this is all I could find.

3. Him & I
Sometimes I arrive two years too late to the party when it comes to editing a song. This is one of those times. But how could I not? It's so fitting.

4. You Should Really Know
Sometimes a song just hits you in the feelings and you have to edit it - especially if the feelings it hits add a dose of nostalgia. This is one of those times (I mean, the song does also fit them painfully well, but it was largely a nostalgia choice). This was also the video that finally enabled me to edit more than five consecutive seconds, so!!

5. Arcade
Could this pair/song combo be more inevitable? I so love to allow them to stamp on my heart.

6. Wouldn’t Change A Thing
Sometimes it's shuffle that hits you with the nostalgia. Sometimes it's Demi rewatching Camp Rock 2 on her instagram. Either way, being reminded of this song had me IMMEDIATELY opening a project in Vegas, because this song is SO them. It's also, quite frankly, editing itself despite how overlay/effects heavy it is (it's like these fandoms were ~made~ for each other), and given how bad my block was, who am I to argue with that?

7. Right Here
I really, really want to finish this one. I love this world so much, and I'm such a sucker for the dynamics and characters. I'm trying.

8. Starboy
See, when I started this one I was so excited. It was truly a passion project. Then Niki passed away and opening it just made me sad. However, I love this film, Daniel Brühl did such an amazing job and I just love editing his portrayal, so we'll see.

9. Behind these Hazel Eyes
IDEK. But I'm having fun working on it.

10. Careless Whisper
I mentioned this in passing to Julia and she didn't tell me it was a bad idea. But this song deserves better than memes. It just ~fits~

11. Fire on Fire
My grandparents did another Downton rewatch. This was inevitable given I'm always 0.0002s away from a Tom/Sybil related meltdown (and since my D/M video to this song is blocked, I might as well take the opportunity to re edit it with my second favourite class difference babies!)

12. Pretending
*Shrugs*. During the inevitable lockdown Glee rewatch I got hit in the face by how well this song works for S2!Dreamer.

13. Still Here
I blame Alaina.

14. More Than That
I blame Dora. Also, gah, I miss these two (and I really haven't taken advantage of S4!Finan's footage - by the way, S5 IS OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED!!!) I've just been trying to come to terms with the idea of using someone other than Elinor for Aetari. Ellise works well, but I get very attached to faceclaims.

15. Dusk ‘Til Dawn
Because we don't talk about platonic bonds enough - especially where OCs are concerned. I just love these dorks.

16. Everything I Wanted
Everyone meet Ford. I love them. I just love them. (However, I did make a mistake when I described them as platonic!Scaetari. The universe laughed at me for daring to say platonic & Scaetari in one sentence). They went rogue

17. Relationship
In which spiralling into fangirling over the Hamilton cast leads to the discovery of a PERFECT song for these two.

18. Without You
ANGST.
