Ugh, before I even get started, sorry about some of the clip quality - I couldn't find a link to the episode anywhere so I screen recorded and as you can see...yikes. So, I'm sorry for your eyeballs, but these two are so cute I hope that makes up for it.
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THAT EPISODE?! Like, sure it didn't really progress the overall storyline or anything...but it was so great! Every single actor knocked it out of the park, completely (by the way, Jesse learned how to do those bat tricks in just two weeks??? Because of course Brainy would know how to do bat tricks, why not?).
And the Brainia content?! The 9 to 5 scene? It could've been such a disaster, but it so worked...and I am absolutely never getting over the way Brainy looked at Nia towards the end. My poor heart. Have you guys seen the promo pictures for the next episode?! Eeeeek!
Also, Nia's being Kara's mentor was adorable, and I loved seeing that dynamic reversed, and both Nia and Kara getting to just enjoy their powers for once. I don't think we've EVER seen that from Nia, so that was sweet. And Nia listening to her mother's voicemail? My poor heart - the whole arc with her being frustrated with her lack of understanding of her dreams is just so painfully well done. And Brainy trying out all the different coping mechanisms?! (By the way, we deserved to see Brainy in glee club, I'm just throwing that out there).
Anyway, this video is a bit of a mess - there's a reason I don't generally work with fast(er) songs - but I wanted to do something a little bit lighter, to match the episode (okay, fine, I'd actually decided on this song a couple of days in advance of the episode), and it just fit...who am I to say no when I'm actually inspired?! Even with the text - and if you know me, you know how I feel about text (and overlay) work!
(Also, this took ages to render, but it was done after one attempt...so clearly this one was meant to be).

Okay, this ones such a scruffy mess, but, honestly, after all the trouble Ive been having with my laptop, its a pure miracle its even finished. Besides, I couldnt possibly miss todays prompt for OCtober - star crossed (lovers, friends, etc) is my kryptonite. And its been so long since I made a video with these two.
If youre not familiar with these two, meet Finch and Amaryllis. Theyre the driving force of the events that take place in my Trees universe.
Finch (forgive the change of fancast, I needed more footage, and the voiceovers T T), Amaryllis and Hawthorn were childhood friends. When Hawthorn inherited his mothers throne, he betrayed the friendship, taking Amaryllis as his wife despite her love for Finch (and Finchs love for her).
Shortly after the wedding, Finch left, and for a few hundred years, Amaryllis did her best to be a decent wife to Hawthorn, even if she could never return his love, giving him two sons and ruling by his side as a fair and just queen.
When Finch returns, however, old feelings come rushing back to the surface and Amaryllis and Finch begin an affair.
When Hawthorn finds out, he realises that the best way to avoid embarrassment and scandal is to deal with the matter as quietly as possible; he sends his former best friend into a battle he can never win, ensuring his death. Amaryllis later dies giving birth to Finchs daughter.
This sorry chapter of the history of this universe leads to the wars that will eventually lead to Acacias death - which is why Ive included Kestrel at the end there; not just because I missed my favourite boy - which I did.
Anway, its a disaster, and largely incoherent and idk - its okay until around the minute mark and then ewww. I hate it, and itll probably be deleted once Octobers over...but eh. Its something. And Ive missed vidding these characters.
