Cycling the world - Asia: episode 49
I wake up at Al Salil viewpoint high in the mountains of Oman with a bike that is barely holding together. My rear hub is getting worse, two of my easiest gears are already unusable and brutal climbs force me to push my heavily loaded bike again and again as I try to reach the coast and find a mechanic. Despite the mechanical problems, the mountain scenery is spectacular and I keep grinding through one final punishing climb before finding a sheltered campsite for the night, surrounded by a pack of wild donkeys.
