A man from Worcestershire, UK has revealed how a $41k (£30k)-a-year addiction to alcohol and cocaine left him “one drink from death” before he finally got sober.
Sam Luke, 35, was drinking a litre of vodka and eight cans of cider a day when he was rushed to hospital and diagnosed with chronic liver disease and pancreatitis.
After being told another drink could kill him, he quit alcohol and is now more than a year sober, helping others through his recovery support group.
