I heard someone say once that if you think of your security deposit as a personality deposit, it makes it easier to worry less when decorating your rental.
Idk who needs to hear this, but I’ve ALWAYS got my security deposit back. Out of at least 20 rentals, ONCE I got a little bit deducted to repaint, the rest of them I got my deposit back in full!
Often landlords are actually happy to let you upkeep their property. We asked our new landlord to replace the carpets in our offer and he accepted!
Everyone deserves to be as happy and comfy in their homes as they can be, not just people who own their homes.
