Numbers only mean something when you know what the core experience is like. Knowing there's a lot of something isn't significant until you know the quality of the content. Since so many games do this, it makes the trailer sound generic and same-y too.

The tl;dr:
Most game studios and even many publishers don't have strong grand recognition, so their logos don't excite audiences.
I put logos on screen for only a few seconds AFTER the trailer starts with gameplay footage. Studios and publishers with name recognition like Naughty Dog, Supergiant Games, Devolver Digital and Annapurna Interactive can rightly do it because they have years of successful releases and a good fan base.
The choice is ultimately up to you, but before you put a logo in the beginning of your trailer (especially if it's for more than a couple seconds) consider whether or not anyone will TRULY get excited when they see it. If not, then I'd skip it and make the trailer viewing experience more friendly to the audience.

Most trailer houses got started on Avid Media Composer back when it was basically the only option and continued using it to this day. Some changed over to Final Cut Pro before version X, and then switched to Premiere. New trailer houses generally choose either Avid or Premiere Pro, and very few use Final Cut Pro X or any other alternative editing softwares.
I got started on Premiere 5.1 (Before CS or CC), switched to editing on Final Cut Pro and stayed there until Final Cut Pro X came out, which is when I switched to Premiere Pro CS 5.5 and stayed on that until present day.
I keep an eye on Final Cut Pro X, but it still has some dealbreakers like having no Replace Edit at Match Frame function. I'm also keeping an eye on Da Vinci Resolve because seeing an editing software being built from the ground up for modern systems is very exciting, and so far it seems to be well designed and smooth to use.

2. Music Video Montage Take fun gameplay footage and cut it to the beat of the music like a music video.
3. Chronological Order If your game is paced in a way where challenges increasingly escalate, why not just show them in chronological order? (Minus the boring bits)
4. Just Explain the Game If your game uses a lot of abstract symbols or is otherwise very hard to decipher from just looking at it, it might be worth explaining with voiceover.

Sound effects are important to video game design, so it's only natural to conclude they're important to feature in the game's trailers as well. They help flesh out the feel of a game, and can even help the viewer better see and understand the quick cut shots in the game's trailer.
Yes, working sound effects into a game trailer is extra work, and can be a detriment to a game trailer when done poorly, but to not even try to take advantage of them is to miss an opportunity to better represent the game in the trailer.
Think of the sound effects as an additional musical score to the trailer, and/or a means to punctuate moments and lines of dialogue. When integrating sound effects, strip out any unnecessary sounds which aren't related to the primary focus of a shot, and also make sure the sound effects aren't stepping on any other elements or making them difficult to be heard.

If you make your game trailer longer than 60-90 seconds and no one recognizes your studio or game name, you're fighting against the norm and increasing the likelihood they'll not watch or stop watching part way unless you have a very strong hook and good editing.
It's better to make a shorter trailer with a lot of variety than a long trailer which repeats itself. If you don't have enough material for 60-90 seconds, make it shorter!
It's also important to label your video properly. Don't call everything a trailer if it's more like a gameplay overview or devlog. That said, good editing can make a longer duration feel short, bad editing can make a short trailer feel long, and if you have a dedicated fan base you have more leeway to do whatever the heck you want.

Slow tracking shots through game environments are an ineffective way to start a game trailer because players want to see recognizable gameplay as soon as possible, and those shots do not help them understand much more than what the art direction looks like. Big AAA games get away with it because of production value and because they're frequently shown at live events which people cannot skip through when watching.
If you're going to use environment shots:
1. Limit them to 1-2 at a time 2. Intercut them with footage of player interaction 3. Make them story rich and SPECIFIC to your game as possible.
