In this quick video, I look at a strange brake/suspension noise that many Hyundai Kona Electric owners have reported.
The sound usually happens when braking at low speed and is hard to reproduce, but it may be linked to regenerative braking not using the physical brakes very often.
In this test, I try two simple methods to clean the brake discs:
– Using the Kona’s automatic brake disc cleaning mode
– Braking in neutral so regen can’t do the slowing
I also compare the brake discs before and after to see if surface rust and buildup improve.
